Noosa Crest is getting into the Jazz Vibe

The annual Noosa Jazz Festival is only around the corner and the staff at Noosa Crest are getting into the swing of things by booking a table on Hastings street for the long lunch.  With the likes of celebrity chefs Matt Golinski & Matt McKenzie its hard not to be apart of the festival.

The 2011 Noosa Jazz Festival is bringing the cream of Australian and international Jazz talent to the beautiful resort town of Noosa Heads, the event now recognized as one of Australia’s most enduring Jazz Festivals. The theme will be ‘Jazz Party’, with a bevy of Australia’s iconic musicians drawing together in a spontaneous combustion of traditional jazz within the Bicentennial Hall, followed by a stream of swing, modern, funk and blues bellowing along Hastings Street and in the Festival Village.

In recent years, performances from Cat Empire, Kate Noonan, Paul Grabowski, and our more traditional artists, Peter Gaudion and Bob Barnard give the Festival its amazing diversification.

This year they have Australian artists who are the ‘back bone’ of the Australian jazz scene, Bob Barnard, Allan Browne, Dan Barnett, Geoff Bull and George Golla, just to name a few.

We are blessed with pristine beaches, beautiful national parkland and a magnificent river, but when the jazz festival comes to town, the staff and all teh jazz lovers can enjoy one of the most unique festivals.

Check out the Noosa Jazz Festival website www.noosajazz.com.au to see the events and to make online bookings.

Sunny Winter Wonderland at Noosa Crest

Our delayed Summer has finally arrived and its Winter!!!  I have to share the beautiful view with you on my walk this morning through the Noosa National Park which is on a headland overlooking the pristine Laguna Bay.  Our National Park walks have become a friday ritual with a girlfriend of mine and today was the most spectacular.  Granite bay was sparkling and very tempting to dip my toes in the water however I am a Queenslander so a little cold for me.  The adventerous New Zealanders and southerners were soaking up this beautiful sunshine on main beach, little cove and tea tree bay, I could see lots of families diving for the waters and putting on the snorkeling gear, the water is so crystal blue and perfect for snorkeling around the rock areas.

Of course we wouldn’t be living in Noosa if we didn’t finish our walk off with a hot coffee and muffin at Sails restauranth.  Rasberry and white chocolate muffins are a must at Sails, the view is spectacular, the restaurant is a stones throw away from main beach and on a day like today you could sit there forever.

This is what our winters are all about and they are hear to stay so if you are thinking of coming take advantage of Noosa Crest special winter offers and come on up.  You can wear t-shirts & shorts during the day and rug up at night, my kind of holiday.

Latest Premium Three Bedroom Apartment with Noosa Views

Hot off the press – I just picked up new photos of the latest renovated premium Apartment and have to share.  The day was glorious, perfect for sitting out on the balcony and watching the world go by.  Maybe I’m bias (not really) but Noosa Crest has the best view in the whole of Noosa.  The difference from us and other Resorts is they only face North as we pan from East (Noosa Nationa Park) to North (Hastings street, Laguna Bay) and then west where you can watch the beautiful sunsets on the Noosa River.  And another difference is we have no buildings in front, we are the last resort on the hill heading towards Hastings street with a private boardwalk to the town centre.

The owners changed the whole look of the apartment including the three bedrooms and decor going more for a contempory look.  We had some gorgeous models come in and enjoy the use of the apartment while the photographer snapped away.

Enjoy the photos, I have some more coming…..
