The wedding was amazing and everything went fantastic except a few little hiccups along the way. I started at 5am, when one of my bridesmaid ran into my room yelling at the top of her lungs ‘are you excited, becuase I’m excited’ and then it began. The hair and makeup artist arrived at 6am as she was solo and working on 4 bridesmaids / mother or the bride and of course me the bride. Dayna was absolutely amazing, I flew her down from Cairns becuase I knew how good she is and it was worth it.
We stayed in one of the penthouses with four bedrooms as the bridesmaids stayed with me the night before. The penthouse was perfect for us to get ready and to have some pre wedding photos. We had our morning coffee’s and breakfast on the rooftop while looking over beautiful Laguna Bay, Noosa National Park and the gorgeous Noosa River, it was a real luxury.
The ceremony went smoothly, it was stunning with Noosa as our backdrop and the guests loved the view too. A lot of the guests were staying at the resort so no driving was required which was a bonus. After the ceremony everyone walked down the private boardwalk onto the Catalina for the sunset river cruise while we had our photos taken in the Noosa Lions Park, along Hastings street, Main beach and then to Noosa Woods. We had a friends boat pick us up for our private sunset cruise along the Noosa River. My husband and I felt a bit like celebrities as everyone was waving on the banks or congratulating us as they rode past our boat, it was very special and one of the best sunsets I have seen on the Noosa River.
We arrived at Trio’s restaurant on the water and had our formal entry and finally got to talk with the guests. The cake was delicious, the speeches sensational and we didn’t trip for our bridal waltz so a successful night.
Weddings are such a big event and a special time for freinds and family to come together and celebrate. It was truely amazing to see so many people travel from great distances to celebrate our special day.
