To really enjoy your family holiday it is ideal to stay somewhere in close proximity to all the things you want to explore and preferably somewhere that has lots of facilities and amenities at your fingertips. That way you don’t always have to pile into the car every time you want to do something. Noosa Heads has a tremendous amount of family accommodation to choose from, all within a very short distance to the beach, shops and restaurant precinct. Most families choose to rent out a self contained apartment in a resort that offers lots of facilities for the whole family to enjoy. An excellent pool is a must to enable the children to burn off some energy and is great for those family members wishing to keep up their exercise routine. A gym is also ideal although not absolutely necessary in Noosa. There are so many beautiful walking trails and boardwalks for you to explore, you will be able to burn away the calories while taking in the scenery making you feel invigorated and relaxed at the same time.
When choosing your family accommodation in Noosa it is also a good idea to check out what other facilities are available to your apartment. Spas and saunas are a popular choice as are swimming pools and a games room. Many hotels offer babysitting services which allow Mum and Dad to have a little time out from the family and spend some quality time with each other.
When choosing an apartment for the family to enjoy, you definitely want to choose something that is self contained and has all the modern conveniences such as a microwave, full sized refrigerator and DVD player. Foxtel would be an added bonus for the times when you don’t feel like heading outdoors.
Having good cooking facilities and laundry facilities included in your apartment make your Noosa holiday so much more enjoyable and affordable. Although there are excellent restaurants just a short stroll away, sometimes it is more convenient to have the option of eating in and enjoying the view from your apartment. Another great facility to look out for is BBQ’s that are available to guests. Not only does the iconic BBQ provide an economical and low fuss meal option for dinner or lunch, it also provides the perfect opportunity to mingle with the other guests and make new friends. For many families once they find the right apartment and resort, they keep coming back year after year. It makes perfect sense.
When planning your next family holiday definitely check out Noosa Heads and all the wonderful accommodation on offer. The stunning views and relaxed lifestyle are
beckoning. Noosa is the perfect place for your next family holiday.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
One of our top ‘things to do’ is definitely walking through the beautiful Noosa National Park. Noosa Crest Resort is nestled within walking distance to the National Park a natural destinations on the continent for good reason. Whether you’re enjoying a more casual Noosa holiday accommodation or luxury apartments, this spot makes for an unforgettable addition to your trip. Resort visitors are offered memorable interactions with a diverse natural environment that boasts numerous endangered species and that is home to conservation efforts to protect the exotic native flora and fauna. There are numerous fascinating natural features you can expect to find at Noosa National Park.
Noosa National Park offers Noosa accommodation travelers access to some of the most well preserved natural coastlines on Earth. Head to Noosa Heads to experience the Park’s scenic headland, then make your way down to the gorgeous plains and natural dunes of Lake Weyba. Your next stop is the low coastal territory that takes you south as far as Coolum Beach. As you make your way through the park, you’ll enjoy views of sandy beaches, natural vegetation, and clear blue waters.
Noosa National Park is one of the best local destinations for spotting wildlife. Endangered species that make the park their home include the red goshawk, the glossy black cockatoo, the koala, and the ground parrot. Look out for rare swamp orchids dotting your trail.
Noosa resort visitors have spotted lace monitors and honeyeaters on the park grounds. Look out for turtles and dolphins at Dolphin Point, or watch for humpback whale sightings from June through to November.
A Noose National Park hiking trail will take you by Alexandria Bay, a beautiful destination for a daylong excursion. Clothes are optional at this hotspot – just be sure to bring plenty of sun protection supplies and water to keep hydrated and safe from the sun’s rays. The Alexandria Beach Carnival draws over 400 local residents and tourists to Noosa National Park annually, offering sports, fun, and plenty of sun.
Noosa National Park recently added new access options for travelers making their way to Granite Bay. But watch out – at high tide, you’ll see the beach almost completely swallowed by rising waters! See Noosa’s natural wonders at work in this secluded hiding spot.
Tea Tree Bay
Tea Tree Bay offers all the coastal scenery,
the bay also has another convenient feature: it is located just moments away from Hastings Street, where fine shopping, dining, and recreation can be found in droves.
Noosa accommodations offer access to beautiful natural trails, exotic wildlife sightings, lush rainforests, endless coastlines, and much more, but you can also find the comfort and luxury you need after a long day out enjoying everything nature has to offer.
Not only does Noosa pride itself as a slice of coastal bliss, stunning natural attractions with a thriving food scene, we also pride ourselves on the array of coffees. Having the luxury of living in a tourist town there is an abundance of cafes, pop up coffee vans and stalls offering smooth coffees with creamy funky designs. Some cafes like to shake things up, recently in a new raw café, had to try the a half coconut / half almond milk………. tasted a little different but still delicious.
At Noosa Crest we offer Little Cove Coffee called the smooth percolator which is a must if your a keen coffee drinker. If you can get to the Little Cove café, try there recent cockodoodle brew which pulls back your eyelids and SCREAMS wake up in the morning.
The list would be endless if I was to name all the great cafes in town but to name a few off the radar would be Black Pepper in Noosa Junction. Todd & Steph (mother & son) are very welcoming, offer gluten free food and love a chat. If your along Gympie terrace, can’t go past Grind nor The River Read Bookstore, I love checking out the latest books as I sip away. On Hastings street is Hard Café in bay village. They offer Campos coffee which is smooth & strong.
If your in Sunshine Beach try out Dukes Deli which has recently changed over to Tobys Estate coffee, great customer service plus they add in a little shortbread on the side, I’m also a bit partial to the celebrity spotting from the deck. Another popular local spot is Gibsons, they have an amazing coffee machine called La Marzocco and specially ordered the colour green in fitting with the cafe. They offer exotic Lattetude coffee beans and a great place on a hot day offering air conditioning and lots of magazines & papers to indulge in.
Belmondos is also a hot spot, its a fresh food market in Noosa off the beaten track in Rene street (industrial estate). You can view a range of coffee beans and take the time to discuss, smell and review your next brew. They pride themselves in top quality products with good old fashion customer service.
Every corner in Noosa you will find a coffee shop so be sure to let us know how your brew went!

True…it is cooler, especially at night and those mornings can be a challenge to get to the beach for that morning walk or swim but seriously! It’s 22 degrees during the day and the temperature really only plummets to 12 degrees on the coolest nights. Not exactly freezing…right!
The locals may be rugged up in coats and boots but the visitors are out on the beach in force, frolicking in the waves, surfing, swimming and having fun. Even the little ones are out there on their boogie boards totally oblivious to the fact that it’s winter!
We think this is absolutely the best time to visit Noosa and here’s why:
*It’s peaceful. No crowds, parking is not an issue – on the street or for yourself on the beach, nor is getting into your fav restaurant or getting a room at a great price.
*Shop and café staff are more attentive and relaxed and are genuinely happy to see you and serve you. And best of all, there are bargains to be had!
*The beach is perfect…unspoilt by crowds and the water is calm and crystal clear. Fish everywhere! Noosa’s North Shore is at its best – so it’s a great time to head up the beach in your 4WD and enjoy a spot of fishing.
*Most days are clear and sunny and finish with stunning sunsets – like the one above. Sometimes it rains but not often (and when it does it’s your excuse to curl up on the lounge with your book and a hot chocolate).
*Wildlife spotting is better. The koalas seem to appear more often in the National Park and the brush turkeys are everywhere and the birdlife is amazing, everything seems to come to life.
*The cool weather is perfect for hiking the National Park or Noosa Hill or even exploring the mountain ranges, and for long bike rides out to quaint hinterland towns or down the scenic coast road. It’s also perfect for throwing on a jacket and strolling to your restaurant of choice for a luscious glass of red with your pork belly or Osso Buco. And, for finding a sunny spot on the grass for a lunchtime picnic in the Woods, the Lions Park or along Gympie Terrace.
*And best of all….it’s perfect weather for snuggling up with your loved one and enjoying those romantic sunsets.
